This is a drawing from yesterdays life drawing class. Our task was to draw a model with perspective and mood in mind. Perspective and mood will help our consideration of the composition and framing when filming.  

Although this drawing isn't perfect and definitely has faults, like the detail in the face, I am quite pleased with the outcome. Drawing used to be a major player in my creative side, but due to lack of time and poor attitude it was the first time I had picked up a pencil in 7 years. The framing and use of shadows reference a composition seen in black and white films like Les Diaboliques. I feel I have captured the intended atmosphere of pain and sorrow. This has the same tonal qualities, composition and atmosphere that I want to capture in an upcoming project, Time Off.  

After such a long time since drawing this has given me a positive attitude towards drawing again.
